I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and began playing piano at the age of 6. I attended the Kyiv Secondary Specialized Music School for gifted musicians, and during my piano studies, I was featured twice in the White Hall of the House of Scientists in Kyiv and performed numerous times across other venues in Ukraine. After immigrating to the United States in 2017, I continued my piano studies with Lyudmila Lakisova. I won many top prizes in various competitions, including the 2022 Chicago International Music Competition (Concert Artist Category), Medici International Music Competition, Birmingham International Music Competition, and others. From 2020 to 2022, I was a scholarship Fellow at the Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago and studied with José-Ramon Mendez. To this day, I have had masterclasses with many prominent teachers and artists, including Richard Goode, Marian Hahn, Logan Skelton, Daniel Shapiro, Michael Brown, and Shai Wosner. Currently, I study at the Peabody Conservatory with Benjamin Pasternack.
I have been teaching the piano for over 5 years, starting with my younger brother and gradually receiving more and more students. The age range of my students is between 5 and 96 (yes, I have taught a student who was 96 years old!), and all my lessons are one-on-one. The most important quality of my teaching is that I use an individual approach to every student. I am very attentive to the needs of my students, and I love finding solutions to any difficulties they might have! I also offer a variety of topics for learning. In addition to playing the piano, my students and I work on theory, technique, rhythm, notation, and many other music-related topics. We truly delve into the music world by playing pieces from different genres. To do this, I use a varied repertoire, including books by John Thompson, Nancy and Randall Faber, among others. For more advanced pieces, I enjoy incorporating pieces by composers like Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and many others.
