I have over fifteen years of experience tutoring to high school, college, and graduate students. My specialty lies in tutoring mathematics in several areas such as calculus, elementary/abstract algebra, linear algebra, differential equations, real/complex analysis, and topology. In my experience, I've found that students learn mathematics most efficiently through conceptual-based learning and active engagement in problem solving. Because of this, I will teach you problem solving strategies and help you improve mathematical proficiency through challenging problems. I will also help you build mathematical intuition needed to break down difficult concepts.

I give both individual and group sessions. I am usually available in the mornings and afternoons, but I'm flexible with students. My sessions are of two types; one for assigned work (homework, tests, etc.) and one centered on problem solving techniques and methods of proof. I assign problems once a week, to give you more practice with what you've learned. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, but I offer makeup sessions.

I look forward to hearing from you! I'll help you succeed in your studies!

Eugene E was a great Math tutor

Eugene was a great tutor for my son while we was struggling in "Discrete Math" at UofA. He was patient and totally knowledgeable about the subject and my son felt it made a huge impact on his ability to understand the subject matter! Highly Recommend.

Great Work

Knows a great deal what he's talking about, and is concise to the point of what you are asking him. Though I would recommend his use of something like bitpaper.io, he did a great job in an incredibly advanced field of mathematics

Excellent tutor for differential equations

My sessions with Eugene have been efficient and effective. His tutoring was very descriptive and he went over the steps to problems helping me understand what was going on with ODEs and PDEs as well as linear algebra. Eugene was even able to locate mistakes in the given problems. I strongly recommend Eugene!

Very knowledgeable

Eugene helped me prepare for my engineering dynamics exam by going over the concept and problems I found most difficult. He cleared up a lot of my confusion surrounding how to use the equations and how to approach the problems. Definitely helped ease any stress going into the exam.

Great at explaining and is very knowledgeable

We were working on linear algebra and he thoroughly knew all the concepts we covered and anytime I had questions he was always able to explain it well. Also he would always make sure you understood what was going on by stopping and asking if I had any questions before we moved on.

Best tutor I have ever had

I am in grad school studying applied math/data science. I have to take real analysis, which is based in proofs. I can't even tell you how hard it is to find someone who can even understand the material, much less tutor it. He has saved my life. He breaks the proofs down into easy to understand pieces and references every definition, theorem, and property he is using. When I am starting to fall behind in class, I can send him a message and he will set up an appointment usually is less than 10 minutes. He has great availability. He knows more about math than probably 99% of other math tutors on this site. He is helping me with a class only graduate students take.

Very knowledgable and helpful with Number Theory!

I've been studying Number Theory with Eugene for about 4 months and it has been very successful. I'm very glad that I'm working with Eugene on this. Eugene understands the material very well and is able to break things down to a level I can understand.

Extremely Knowledgeable and Helpful!!

He thoroughly went over Calculus Series with me. Not only did he help me with my problems but ensured i understood the concepts which made a huge difference. He answered all of my questions with ease and was overall a great tutor and extremely helpful!

Eugene is a very knowledgable tutor

Eugene helped me a lot with my theoretical physics and kindly explained all the complicated and difficult concept of quantum and classical system. He is very patient and careful. Before showing me the right concept and knowledge, he will always do a proof calculation. The explanations are very detailed and specific. He really helped me to have a better understanding of theoretical physics
