Hi, Everyone,

I am a retired senior engineering physicist who worked at a national laboratory. I have a Ph.D. in experimental nuclear physics from the State University of New York-Stony Brook. During my working years I enjoyed interacting with students and other groups visiting our laboratory as well as participating in online physics forums with middle-school and high-school students. I've also been a middle-school science fair judge at local and regional levels for more than twenty years.

I enjoyed these activities so much, in fact, that about twelve years ago I decided to broaden my education outreach efforts and start tutoring, focusing mainly on physics and math, including AP Physics and AP Calculus. My goals are to improve each student's conceptual understanding of a subject along with his/her specific problem-solving skills. Because of my background and experience, I also believe that I can help make a connection between those seemingly mundane homework problems at the end of each chapter in a textbook and the "real world".

I would be pleased to work with individual students ranging from middle-school through college undergraduates as well as small groups of students. I look forward to meeting you and discussing your tutoring needs.

Bill F.

Mr Freeman is Great!

Mr Freeman has a way of explaining difficult concepts well. He is patient and has a good sense of humor. He is excellent in both physics C and calculus. Recommended!

Very well-spoken, patient, and has a found understanding of the topics

We worked on cylindrical shells and disks and washers in Calculus, and it was my first lesson, so I wasn’t able to give him materials beforehand. Despite that, Mr. Freeman had a sound fundamental understanding of what was going on and how to answer my questions. He helped me move from just memorizing equations to actually understanding what I was doing.

Awesome tutor!

Bill was very flexible with his schedule to help my college freshman son prepare for his physics final. He is extremely knowledgeable, very easy for my son to talk to and explained things well. Would definitely use for tutoring again!!!!

MOST AMAZING TUTOR

I’m finishing all credits at UCF to receive my bio major and one of these credits includes physics 2, Bill helped me receive an A in this course and I couldn’t be more thankful ! I recommend bill to anyone and everyone !

Connects ideas with conceptual examples

Bill consistently helps me make sure I have a solid understanding of the material through examples and connecting things conceptually together. In school we are shown examples and just told how to do it, Bill makes sure I understand the WHY behind it and it really helps me feel confident in my AP Physics 1 class.

Knowledgeable, Patient, Positive, and Extremely Helpful

The best tutoring experience. Bill helps you learn topics at YOUR speed, is always open for questions, and makes sure you know the material before the session ends. Very welcoming and positive attitude. Very knowledgeable about not only equations or specific questions, but can explain overarching topics extremely well, true professional. Helped me get through undergraduate algebra based Physics 2.
