Hello! My name is Lindsay Newman, and I am excited to help you work towards a deeper understanding of material in a variety of STEM courses!
I graduated summa cum laude (GPA: 4.0) from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) with a B.S. in Neuroscience and minors in Chemistry and Psychology. During my time at CWRU, I discovered my passion for teaching and mentoring while serving as a teaching assistant in the biology department, a supplemental instructor for organic chemistry I and II, and the student coordinator of CWRU’s supplemental instruction program. I also have co-authored two publications in the neuroscience field and am happy to offer advice on gaining lab experience.
My experiences as a student and a tutor have shown me the wonderful diversity in learning styles! I love opportunities to work 1:1 with students where we can develop personalized strategies that work best for the individual.
