I began my teaching journey back in 2017, where I began majoring in Early Childhood Education at the University of Toledo. I grew fond of the study and worked diligently through my major, earning a 3.9 GPA. I accrued over 1000 hours in a classroom setting before graduating and am now competent in all general education studies Pre-K to 5th in the states of Ohio and Illinois. I have experience in 1-on-1 settings with children and tutoring experience in reading and writing especially. I have been active as a tutor online for both children and adults since 2021, where I was active on the Preply tutoring platform.
During my studies at the University of Toledo, I pursued a work-study in South Korea as an English teacher for 1.5 years in 2019. I also worked for a British Academy as a Year 4 teacher in South Korea in 2023, where I was able to craft and create a classroom that was fun, engaging, and student-centered. From this experience, I have retained great knowledge of how to meet the needs of children and adults learning English.
