Hi! I’m really glad you’re considering me as a tutor.

I’m currently a student at the University of Virginia, and academics have always been a central part of my life. In high school, I took multiple AP and honors courses while balancing demanding extracurriculars, so I understand what it feels like to manage a heavy workload and still perform at a high level. Over the past four years, I’ve worked as a tutor and have completed more than 600 hours of service supporting students across different subjects and grade levels. I also scored a 1460 on the SAT (750 in Math and 710 in Reading), so I’m very comfortable helping students prepare for standardized tests as well as strengthening core math and reading skills. In addition, I can tutor several AP courses and help students navigate both the content and exam strategy required to succeed.

My approach to tutoring is simple: meet students where they are and help them build real confidence. I don’t just explain how to get an answer, I focus on why the answer works. If a student is struggling, I break concepts down into clear, manageable pieces and then gradually increase difficulty so they can see their own progress. I ask guiding questions to make sure they’re actively thinking rather than passively listening, because real understanding comes from engagement, not memorization.

Most importantly, I create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My goal isn’t just to improve grades or test scores, but to help students become more independent, organized, and confident in their academic abilities.
