Hello! I'm Lydia. I have a master's degree in social work from Louisiana State University. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Summer of 2021 I passed the LMSW licensure test. I have six professional years of tutoring experience. I, however, tutored peers in high school as well and found it to be a passion of mine.

I have experience working in a grade school and a high school as a paraprofessional, assisting students with learning disabilities. I have worked with students who have dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism, anxiety, bipolar disorder, test anxiety, and cognitive impairment. I enjoy finding new ways to learn and helping others learn.

I worked with students who had ADHD for four years professionally and learned several ways to help them stay engaged with the curriculum and learn the materials. I ran a study skills classroom for two years and taught students how to manage their time, create to-do lists, how to prioritize, and organizational skills.

My job is to help you learn and I will do so in any way I can. I'm easy to reach and will respond quickly. I am happy to answer any additional questions you have, and look forward to working with you!

LMSW Prep, Excellent Tutor!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Lydia’s tutoring! I needed to prep for the ASWB LMSW exam and reached out to her a few months before the exam. She is very knowledgeable and patient with me as a learner! She also helped with my test anxiety and instilled confidence and explained any concept I was struggling with. Her communication was quick and very responsive to my needs for extra sessions or anything else. I just passed my exam today on the first try and I’m sure would not have happened without her! Because she is so reasonably priced, I scheduled more sessions which was so helpful throughout my studying process. She is worth way more than she charges, but I am glad she is reasonably priced for those of us who may not be able to afford her services otherwise! I highly recommend her 100%! You will not regret it.

Knowledgeable and Patient, and extremely informative

Within one lesson, I was able to find the difference between terms and better ways to learn by examples. Due to my disability, she is able to relate in a different way and makes me know I’m not alone in this process.
