I am VERY familiar with Kindergarten through 5th grade Common Core Math. I have taught this subject and its concepts for the last seven years.
Over the past two years, I spent a lot of time working with Thinking Core which is one of the best reading programs in the United States. The curriculum includes vocabulary and writing which are critical components to reading.
I spent two years teaching phonics in Kindergarten. I also had very extensive training from DePaul University during my residency.
I genuinely care about the education of our students. I believe that every child can learn, and each child learns differently. It takes time and patience to teach which is why I am successful at my craft.
