With over 20 years of experience teaching young children, I specialize in helping Pre-K learners (ages 4–5) build the strong foundation they need to thrive in school—academically, socially, and emotionally. I hold a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Professional Educator License. I’ve spent my career supporting children at a wide range of readiness levels.

My tutoring style is warm, structured, and encouraging. Pre-K children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and successful, so I begin by creating a calm routine and building trust. From there, I use developmentally appropriate teaching strategies that are hands-on, playful, and engaging—while still being intentional and skills-based. I break learning into small steps, use repetition in a fun way, and celebrate progress so children gain confidence quickly.

In sessions, we focus on foundational school-readiness skills such as:

Early literacy: letter recognition, sounds/phonics readiness, vocabulary, print awareness, beginning writing strokes

Early math: counting, number recognition, patterns, shapes, simple comparing and sorting

Fine-motor development: pencil grip support, cutting, tracing, strengthening hand muscles for writing

Listening and learning behaviors: attention, following directions, turn-taking, completing tasks

Social-emotional learning: identifying feelings, calming strategies, patience, flexibility, problem-solving, confidence-building

I also support parents by sharing simple strategies you can use at home between sessions, because consistent practice in short, playful moments makes a big difference at this age. Whether your child needs a confidence boost, extra practice, or a steady routine to help them focus and cooperate, I will meet them where they are and help them grow step-by-step.
