Hello! My name is Matt, and I am a high school teacher with a passion for helping students build confidence and succeed in math. I originally went to school to become a physical education teacher, but during my studies I discovered a strong interest in special education and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
I currently teach instructional special education classes at the high school level, including Algebra and Geometry. I also work in a collaborative classroom setting with sophomore students, helping them better understand mathematical concepts and develop effective learning strategies.
My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps and meeting students where they are in their learning journey. I understand that every student learns differently, and I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing their skills.
Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for a test, or simply gaining more confidence in math, I enjoy working one-on-one to help them achieve their goals.
