I am currently a second-year college student pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), with a strong academic foundation in both mathematics and computer science. My coursework has included mathematics through the pre-calculus level, and I have successfully completed College English 101 as well as a college-level speech course, helping me develop strong communication and writing skills. In addition to my academic experience, I hold multiple industry-relevant certifications, including an IT Networking certification and the IC3 Digital Literacy certification, along with several others that reinforce my technical skill set. I am proficient in programming languages such as C++ and Swift, and I regularly apply these skills in academic and personal projects.
My teaching experience began at home, where I helped tutor my younger brother in algebra while he was still in third grade—an experience that required patience, creativity, and the ability to break down complex ideas into simple, relatable concepts. Since then, I’ve continued to help peers and family members with academic challenges in both math and technology-related subjects. I typically work one-on-one, either in person or virtually, focusing on building the student’s confidence through personalized instruction tailored to their pace and learning style. I believe that understanding a student’s unique challenges and goals is the key to successful tutoring. My goal is always to make learning a comfortable and encouraging process while fostering long-term academic growth.
