I have been in the accounting profession for over 15 years and have been teaching and tutoring since I was in high school. I believe that accounting is a language everyone needs and anyone can learn, especially with my help! I love helping students discover the pathways to comprehension that work best for them and building strategies that reflect their learning style and what helps keep them engaged and motivated best.

I can be a helpful resource to my students in the academic realm as well as the professional realm because I have a very extensive background in both teaching and in business. I have been a licensed CPA since 2008 and have over 15 years of experience in the accounting profession including over a decade of teaching experience. I am also a published author and instructor of online CPE content. My professional experience includes 5 years of Big 4 public accounting experience and over 10 years corporate accounting experience, my current role being Director of Accounting.

I have experience in every aspect of financial accounting - I have been a student, tutor, auditor, preparer, reviewer, director, instructor and even author over the past 15 years. This becomes an asset to my students because I can relate the material they are studying to the real world and help show them the many different types of career paths that accounting can lead to.

I am extremely passionate about accounting education and mentoring the next generation of accounting professionals and CPAs. I am not just a bean counter though, I also love reading, traveling, cooking, gardening and running marathons.
