I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Global Health at Northwestern University, where I have consistently been recognized on the Dean’s List every quarter. My strong academic background, combined with my selection for competitive research fellowships, reflects my commitment to both scientific rigor and mentorship. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to break down complex concepts in ways that are accessible and engaging for students of all levels.
As a 1600 scorer on the SAT and 36 scorer on the ACT, I used the study techniques I learned to tutor over 36 students for test prep to get into the college of their dreams. I have several years of tutoring experience, ranging from preparing high school students for standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT, to mentoring undergraduates in advanced science courses. In these roles, I have worked with students across different learning styles and academic goals, whether they needed to build strong foundational knowledge, push toward mastery of advanced material, or gain confidence in test-taking strategies. My teaching approach emphasizes patience, adaptability, and clarity; I tailor lessons to each student’s unique needs and provide structured guidance while fostering independent problem-solving skills.
Beyond academics, I lead and mentor students through organizations such as Girls Unlimited Education and GlobeMed, where I work on health and education advocacy projects. These leadership roles have strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, motivate students, and create supportive learning environments. I truly enjoy seeing students gain confidence in themselves, and I strive to make every session not only informative but also encouraging and engaging.
