Hi there! My name is Ash, I am currently a college student pursuing a degree in neuroscience.
First and foremost, I believe that every child is capable of learning - it is the instructors duty to figure out exactly how to teach them. Kindness, patience, and thinking outside the box is my approach to tutoring. If your child doesn’t understand one method of explaining, I simply have to think of another!

I have taught students in a non-academic setting as a sailing instructor on the Hudson river in NY. Children as young as 8 learned about the physics behind why sailboats work, how wind and tides are created, and the science behind the sport. I also helped tutor several students in high school, typically underclassmen. I have a strong academic basis in multiple areas.
My teaching style is highly personalized, as learning hinges on the student. I believe that linking personal interests to information and taking the time to get to know the student is essential to success.
