Hello, My name is Justin and I am primarily a Spanish and English tutor. I am originally form the NW suburbs of Chicago but I have recently graduated from the Florida State University. While in university, I received a B.S. in Environmental Studies and a B.A. in Spanish. Along with this I have a TEFL certification which allows me to teach foreigners about my native language. I am excited to have the opportunity to meet new people and help them accomplish their educational goals.
Outside of school, I have many different hobbies. I enjoy football (Soccer), music, yoga, TV shows like Mr. Robot, Narcos, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and anything with Anthony Bourdain or Andrew Zimmerman. I also like to play video games, read and cook.
I have received a degree in Spanish through the Florida State University. Along with this I have lived in a foreign country for a year where their native language was Spanish. When I was 18 I lived in Spain for a year which has improved my knowledge and understanding of the Spanish language tenfold
I have played soccer all my life and was captain of my team for many seasons. Along with this, I follow soccer leagues around the world like La Liga and the BPL.
When it comes to cooking, I have learned many skills and techniques through family members, television and the internet
Overall, tutoring with me should be an enjoyable, impactful activity. The main idea I try to uphold with students is being comfortable with obtaining new knowledge. I want students to feel encouraged ask questions, solve problems and make mistakes. By doing all these things, a student can be sure that they are improving in their comprehension of a subject.
