David has been available on short notice and connects with my daughter more easily than previous "math brains" we have tried. We like him very much; he focuses on the topic we are concerned with and seeks feedback from my daughter to be sure she is understanding him.
In my opinion David has a unique quality. It is frequently VERY difficult for kids who are gifted in language, music, and arts, to relate at any level with the math and science types. Their brains work differently, they think and learn differently. The teacher/tutor has to be able to accommodate teaching methods to things these kids relate to. David just does that for us.
Has taught my daughter now for a couple of sessions. She is gaining greater knowledge of her Algebra 1 freshman class and things are starting to make more sense to her.

I took the Advanced Kaplan course and was hitting in the 600 range. After two months of hard work with David and another WyzAnt tutor I was able to boost my final score to a 710. Work hard and call David!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students.
