I am an Illinois state certified elementary teacher (K-8), and hold a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Roosevelt University in Illinois. I taught fifth grade for six years; this involves teaching all of the core subjects including reading, writing, grammar, math, science, and social studies. In addition, I have been teaching middle school social studies for 3 years.
I have also tutored students privately and at Huntington Learning Center. I have a passion for teaching and tutoring, and love to help students achieve their full potential to become successful students.

I am an outstanding elementary math tutor because I am able to connect with students to help them understand concepts they are struggling with. I have a positive, nurturing approach where I form a partnership with students to work with them on improving skills, knowledge, and concepts.

I am an outstanding French tutor because of my warm, encouraging approach and passion for the French language. Growing up in Canada, I learned French in school since kindergarten, spent a year as an exchange student in France immersed in the French language, and completed my Bachelors degree in French language and literature at the University of Toronto.
