Bio

I have been a professor of art, ceramics/sculpture, at Columbia College, Chicago, and at School of The Art Institute, Chicago for thirty years. I served as a Trustee at the Evanston Art Center, Evanston, for four years. I was appointed as commissioner for the Highland Park, Illinois Historical Commission for nine years.

I worked on an archaeological excavation in northern Greece for two summers. Excavation was arranged through the University of Illinois. I have published several articles on world ceramics with an emphasis on medieval art and ceramics.
I have exhibited my art work in national exhibitions, plus, I have won awards at national exhibitions.

I currently have a sculpture at the Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago, IL. The exhibition, "Nature in Motion" features fifteen new outdoor sculptures .

My qualifications for social studies is incorporated in my work. For thirty years I was an Adjunct Professor of ceramics and ceramic history at Columbia College, Chicago. I know many world cultures through the history of ceramics and I have published several articles on world ceramics. Last fall I tutored a sophomore, high school student, in world history. I worked for the US Department of Commerce as a Census Enumerator, 1910. For nine years I served on the Highland Park Historical Commission, Highland Park, IL. I was appointed by the City Mayor.
