Hello, I'm Lucy! I recently graduated cum laude fom St. Louis University with a B.A. in theological studies, and minors in Italian studies and Catholic studies. When I was in college, I discovered that discussing with my teachers was fun and helped me learn so much more. When helping other classmates in tutoring sessions tackle difficult questions and write papers, I adopted the same approach as my professors--being open to discussion, so that learning not only becomes easy, but very enjoyable! Not only have I acquired a great amount of religious and biblical knowledge during my time in college, but I have grown into a successful writer as well, since the majority of my homework included papers involving academic research.
I am returning to my alma mater to pursue a master's of theological studies, and I am so excited to do so! I have experienced directly the bountiful benefits of education in my own life--inside and outside the classroom--and I hope I have inspired students whom I have tutored to see them as well.
My passion for English began in high school, when I enrolled into honors courses to meet my desire for academic rigor. Throughout college, I took several English and literature courses, and many of my other classes were writing-heavy due to the nature of my major. I frequently read and wrote academic material, and some of my writings secured me scholarships for graduate school. I am the "go-to" among my peers and family for proof-reading, spelling, and vocabulary needs, which is always a compliment to me!
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies, and attended a Jesuit university. I have been thoroughly prepared to tackle Catholic and Christian religious topics and questions holistically, as I have experience in Church history, Latin, biblical studies, and others.
