I am a high school special education teacher with four years of experience supporting a wide range of learners. While I currently teach at the high school level, I have a strong background in elementary and middle school math, along with all levels of reading and English Language Arts. I enjoy taking concepts that feel overwhelming to students and breaking them down into steps that actually make sense.

I chose to become a teacher because I genuinely enjoy working with kids and being part of their growth. For me, education is about more than just grades. I want my students to feel confident in themselves and capable of handling challenges, both in school and in life. When students start to believe in their abilities, everything changes for them.

In my tutoring, I focus on building real relationships with students. I want them to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without fear of judgment. Every student learns differently, so I adjust my approach based on what they need. Some students need structure and step by step support, while others just need a little guidance and encouragement to stay on track.

My experience in special education has helped me become patient, flexible, and creative in how I teach. I have worked with students who struggle with focus, organization, and confidence, and I understand how to support them in a way that feels manageable and encouraging.

My goal as a tutor is simple. I want students to leave each session feeling more confident, more capable, and more independent than they were before.
