Hi! I’m Lorelee! I am an experienced English Teacher, Freelance Editor, and Writing Coach. My degree is in Communications, Literature, and Secondary Education, and I find it to be so rewarding to help my clients, especially students, to improve their writing. The satisfaction for both of us when students tell me they get that desired college acceptance letter or an A on their paper is the best feeling!

My experience as a Writing Coach and Freelance Editor has given me the opportunity to edit doctoral theses, term papers, and personal and supplemental essays for the Common App. Outside of coaching and editing academic writing, I also regularly help people to significantly improve their resumes and cover letters, and I have also edited independently published books and novellas.

As a writing coach, I employ a hands-on approach to helping students to improve their writing. Through in-person meeting or online web conference, I get to know the student through conversation and begin to figure out how to best approach guiding them make the desired improvements to their written piece. This approach helps me outline the next steps that the student needs to take and create a clear target timeline for their project.

For K-8 students who are looking for help their Language Arts assignments, I am also skilled at teaching grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation. Vocabulary exercises and helping students to understand the meanings of words is another personal favorite of mine!

I want to be as helpful as possible to the students I work with, so I am always open to input from parents and feedback about the assignments we are completing. I am easily reachable and readily responsive, and I will always work to schedule a time that works for you, the student. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about my services, or to schedule a lesson.
