Educational Background & Experience:
I have always been driven by academic excellence, graduating high school a semester early with a 5.0 GPA and High Honors. I am currently a college student maintaining a 3.65 GPA while pursuing a degree in Ultrasound Technology. While my primary experience has been guiding younger students through foundational math, I am currently mastering College Algebra myself. This allows me to bring fresh, high-level strategies to my sessions, ensuring my students are prepared not just for their current grade, but for the college-level math ahead.
Methods & Approaches:
My teaching philosophy centers on "Clarity and Confidence." I don’t just show students how to get the right answer; I teach them the "why" behind the math so they can solve problems independently. Because I am a current student, I am actively engaging with modern curriculum and understand exactly where the roadblocks are.
I use a relatable, "Big Sister" approach: I am incredibly patient and specialize in breaking down intimidating "Solving for X" problems into simple, digestible steps. Whether we are proofreading an essay for flow or tackling Algebra 1 and 2, my goal is to make my students feel like they gained confidence by the end of our hour.
