Hi, I'm Jessica! I am a third-year medical student at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, an aspiring medicine-pediatrics physician, and a registered nurse with four years of experience as a nurse preceptor and one year as a nurse tutor. Exams I have completed include the NCLEX-RN, the CCRN exam for certified critical care nurses, the MCAT, and most recently USMLE Step 1. During medical school, I have also been published in the American Journal of Emergency Medicine and delivered a podium presentation at the national Society for Critical Care Medicine conference.

My background spans both clinical practice and education, which means I don't just understand this material academically; I have used it at the bedside and taught it to others in high-stakes environments. Prior to medical school, I worked extensively with nursing students and new graduates, helping them build the clinical reasoning skills and confidence they need to succeed. Whether you're navigating pharmacology, physiology, biology, USMLE Step 1, or preparing for a nursing or medical school application, I bring real-world context to every concept we cover. I primarily work with students in one-on-one sessions tailored to their goals and learning style.

My tutoring approach is patient, judgment-free, and personalized to you. I believe that struggling with difficult material isn't a sign of weakness, but a normal part of learning something genuinely challenging. I work with middle and high school students, adult learners, and healthcare students alike, and I place special emphasis on study strategy and helping each student build a learning system that fits the way their brain actually works.
