Many of my students who have a learning disability in reading, also have it in spelling and/or writing. I have used the Wilson Reading System and the Orton Gillingham method to help with writing complete sentences and spelling words. I have experience using the University of Kansas Writing strategy, as it is an evidenced based curriculum. It teaches the writing standards from grades 2-12, and increases their writing performance. It provides different writing strategies: FUNDAMENTALS IN THE SENTENCE WRITING STRATEGY (GRADES 2+), PROFICIENCY IN THE SENTENCE WRITING STRATEGY (GRADES 3+), PARAGRAPH WRITING STRATEGY (GRADES 4+), and EDIT STRATEGY (GRADES 4+). I also help with basic writing skills for young authors and introducing them how to organize what they want to say and structure it. The activities address the five stages of writing, (pre-emergent, emergent, early, developing, and established). It also helps ESL/ELL students learn to write in the English Language!

Amazing Teacher

My daughter had another teacher for her dyslexia that she worked with for over three years. Within four months of lessons my daughter has surpassed what she had done with the other teacher in three years! She is progressing really well and her self-confidence is really growing. She makes learning fun and it’s not stressful she connects well with her students.
