With over three years of tutoring experience, I am confident I can help your student succeed. I worked at Mathnasium as a mathematics tutor for over a year, assisting kindergarteners to high school seniors succeed in topics such as algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and one of my personal favorites, statistics and probability! I worked both one-on-one with students who needed specialized help and in group settings, constantly ensuring that the questions of all my students were answered. I also have an additional two years of private tutoring experience, working with high school students in subjects such as math and world history. These one-on-one sessions enabled me to further understand the individual needs of students, working with them to develop effective strategies in their lessons.
I’m really passionate about creating a positive and supportive learning environment. I encourage my students to reach out with any questions they have between sessions, and I always make sure they feel comfortable and supported with understanding material. I love to introduce new material through problems on topics a student is interested in. I ensure a student has ample opportunities to practice what they’ve learned through individualized questions and worksheets. I always make sure students have time to ask any questions between practice exercises and at the beginning and end of a lesson to clarify topics.
