I hold an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Baguio. With 21 years of piano experience and 17 years of violin expertise, I have been passionately teaching music lessons since the age of 12. My instruction covers a wide range of areas including technique, music theory, composition, performance, rhythm, and sight reading. I take an eclectic and personalized approach to teaching, which allows me to successfully work with students both in-person and online. My students range from young beginners at age 5 to adult learners, and I enjoy guiding students of all ages in their musical journeys.
In addition to private instruction, I have classroom teaching experience at Midwestern Christian Academy in Chicago. I also specialize in ESL (English as a Second Language) instruction and accent reduction, helping students improve their communication skills for both personal and professional growth. As a music producer and composer with original works to my name, I can also mentor students who are interested in music production and songwriting.

While I was attending the University of Baguio, Music Composition was one of the required classes to take for our Bachelors Degree. I was able to compose four original songs with original melody, harmony and lyrics. After graduation, I am still writing music in my free time!

I have been playing the Piano for 21 years and the Violin for 17 years. Those two instruments have really trained my ear to hear when a note is off and/or how to tune an instrument. When I was in college, I also took a Dictation class, where we had to listen to an excerpt, and determine what key it was in, if it was major or minor; we even had to determine what scale was being played.
