I'm Kat! I graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse! Every quarter, I made the dean's list and used my writing skills beyond the classroom to aid local communities. This degree has covered every genre of writing, making me an expert wordsmith, so I can help students with any writing assignment they have and provide crucial advice to .

While I do not have prior professional experience in tutoring, I do have experience helping others with writing assignments in and outside the classroom. In my writing classes, peer editing was something I did often. Outside of the classroom, I have helped my best friend and siblings, who are currently in college, with their writing assignments. They scored higher overall and now rely on me to be their tutor over going to their school’s tutors.

Besides being able to write great essays, my courses have allowed me to hone in skills such as: how to research and apply knowledge effectively, grammar and formatting, and proper constructive feedback etiquette. I also am proficient with writing software and am familiar with helpful writing sources that helped me when I was a student.

With starting my degree, one of my goals to come out of graduating was to use my vast writing skills to aid others in any way possible. As I figure out my career path now, I think tutoring would be a great start.
