Hi! My name is Emily and I look forward to meeting you. I am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where I obtained my degree in Actuarial Mathematics and Economics. I currently work full time as an actuary, where I love being able to apply my knowledge. While I was at Pitt, I also worked as an undergrad mathematics tutor as well as an after-school mathematics teacher at a local middle school. Hi! My name is Emily and I look forward to meeting you. I am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where I obtained my degree in Actuarial Mathematics and Economics. I currently work full time as an actuary, where I love being able to apply my knowledge. While I was at Pitt, I also worked as an undergrad mathematics tutor as well as an after-school mathematics teacher at a local middle school. Therefore, I am comfortable tutoring students of all ages, from middle school all the way up to adults. I always strive to come up creative ways to teach a general topic or specific question.

I have also passed SOA exams P, FM, IFM, SRM, PA, and FAM. I am currently studying for ALTAM. While I love my job as an actuary, I certainly miss having the opportunity to teach others on a regular basis - hence why I am here to tutor! I love all things math, economics, statistics, probability, the list goes on... just ask!

Amazing tutor!

Emily was extremely kind and patient. She went over concepts in a clear and easy to understand manner. It is easy to see that she is very knowledgeable about math and strives to make sure her students feel comfortable with the material by the end of the session. Although I needed help in a college level financial math class, I would whole heartedly recommend Emily to anyone needing extra help in ANY level math courses. She is also extremely easy to communicate with!
