My name is Miss Jasmine F., and I’m a qualified tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Educational Studies from National Louis University and an Associate of Arts degree from Harper College. I also hold a tutoring certificate through the National Tutoring Association. I have over 12 years of experience working with children and more than 5 years of tutoring students in grades K–6. I specialize in phonics, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, foundational math, ESL, and homework help.
Since 2022, I’ve worked as a special education paraprofessional in public elementary schools, supporting students with IEPs, Down syndrome, speech and language delays, and learning differences. This upcoming school year, I will begin supporting a student with autism, and I’m excited to expand my experience in this area. My teaching approach includes individualized instruction, visual aids, decodable texts, guided reading strategies, and writing prompts tailored to each learner’s level and needs.
I’ve supported early readers, reluctant writers, and students who need extra support or enrichment. My teaching style is warm, structured, and encouraging. I build strong relationships with each student, helping them gain confidence while mastering important skills. Whether your child is learning to read, building writing stamina, or improving math fluency, I’m here to provide the tools and support they need to thrive.
Sincerely, Jasmine F.
