Alongside teaching communication, I love to emphasize the culture that is inseparable to the language. Cultural awareness lends students to be more understanding and accepting of diversity. Providing the means to help students perceive the world in ways different from their own is what makes learning a foreign language so much fun.
I have had amazing opportunities to live abroad in France where I have grown both personally and professionally. I first studied abroad in the south of France in a town called Avignon.
There I was in an intense immersion program, as well as living with a homestay to gain more language and culture development. A year after I graduated I moved to France to teach in a program with the French Ministry of Education as an English teaching assistant. I am very eager to share my experiences and knowledge to a French classroom in the United States, where students can grow cultural awareness, as well as learn all what one can do with learning a foreign language.
