Many students feel like they are simply “bad writers.” In reality, most students were never shown how to approach writing in a clear and structured way. I specialize in helping middle school, high school, and early college students understand the writing process so that essays feel manageable instead of overwhelming. Whether a student is struggling to start an essay or unsure how to organize their ideas, I help them break the process down into clear, achievable steps.

My approach is collaborative and coaching-focused. Rather than simply correcting a paper, I work with students to understand how they are thinking about the assignment and where they may be getting stuck. Together we develop strong thesis statements, organize arguments logically, and revise writing so ideas are expressed clearly and effectively. Students leave sessions not only with a stronger essay, but with practical strategies they can apply to future assignments.
I have consistently excelled in writing and rhetoric throughout my education, earning A’s in every writing course I have taken, including AP English Language and AP English Literature. I enjoy helping students build confidence in their writing and realize that strong writing is a skill that can be learned, not a talent reserved for a few people. My goal is for students to leave sessions feeling less overwhelmed and with a clear plan for how to succeed.
Examples of help I provide:
- Essay brainstorming and outlining
- Thesis statement development
- Editing and revision strategies
- Argument structure and clarity
- College application essays
