My passions for educating really came from my own academic background. I grew up in an homeschooled family and had the opportunity to help with teaching some of my siblings and found I really loved it. I earned a four year degree in secondary education with special emphases in high school mathematics and elementary teaching methods.

I spent the last seven years teaching in the college classroom in their English department - Basic and Advanced Grammar, Advanced Composition, Proofreading, American and British Literature, and Business Communication.
Throughout my years teaching in the college classroom, I have also enjoyed being able to tutor students one-on-one through a variety of subjects such as History, Music Theory, and Mathematics. I truly believe that the key to helping students learn is connecting them with the material and helping them develop an individual learning strategy.
