As a senior Computer Science and Applied Mathematics student at Bradley University with a 3.96 GPA, I bring a strong technical foundation to my tutoring sessions. My coursework includes Data Structures, Software Engineering, Databases, Data Science, and Machine Learning, and I have a Certificate in Machine Learning Foundations through Cornell University. This academic background helps me explain concepts in multiple ways depending on how a student learns best. I am most comfortable tutoring the following: Intro to Programming (Python, JavaScript), Databases, Intro to Machine Learning, Web Design/Development (HTML, CSS), Math (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Discrete Math).
I have been teaching and mentoring students since my freshman year of college (nearly 4 years). For the past three years, I have served as a Coding Instructor for Bradley DAPCEP, where I develop and deliver curriculum for two annual five-week courses reaching over fifty students per session. I teach in a hybrid classroom setting, working with students ranging from elementary through middle school, and I've created a hybrid Blockly and Python curriculum that introduces foundational programming concepts alongside responsible AI usage. I manage in-person classes, grade assignments, track attendance, and adapt my teaching style on the fly to meet students where they are. I also have taught high school students when I served as a Data Science Instructor Assistant for Kode With Klossy, a remote summer program where I customized Python, SQL, and Looker Studio materials for over two hundred scholars, achieving a ninety percent engagement rate. I led coding practices, debugging sessions, and data visualization workshops, helping students achieve a one hundred percent project completion rate.
