Experienced and Kind ACT/SAT and Mathematics Tutor

Hi! I have worked in education for over seven years with seven years of ACT/SAT and mathematics one-on-one tutoring experience at various companies including Academic Approach in Chicago and Moser Educational in Colorado with students ranging from 1st to 12th grade and two years of classroom teaching experience at schools dedicated to social justice. I have lots of experience in both in person and remote one-on-opened tutoring. I am a very knowledgeable and kind tutor, and I am excited to share my experience with you. My approach is heavy on support and kindness. No matter what level you are at, we can formulate a plan based on data and figure the best way to fulfill academic goals.

For ACT/SAT tutoring, I combine practice tests with material from online or a textbook. Based off of practice test scores, we can see what areas need the most improvement, allowing us to focus on those areas. We can consider problems from tests to obtain the main concepts and then dig even deeper into these concepts with free materials online or, say, through a textbook. I also can share many test taking strategies as well. In addition, as a math major, I am very passionate about learning and practicing problem solving skills. I am able to help with most kinds of math from K-12, and I would love to share my math knowledge and passion for learning math with you.

All in all, I have a wealth of experience with one-on-one tutoring whether in person or remote. I am excited to share a supportive and kind approach to learning that is effective and also self-esteem cultivating. Thank you!
