I hold a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Northeastern Illinois University, where I graduated summa cum laude, as well as a Master of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education from Northwestern University. I have been tutoring students in math and physics since 2009, and I’ve worked in a wide range of educational settings, including traditional classrooms, college tutoring centers, online platforms, and informal environments like museums. I’ve been teaching in the high school classroom for the past two years and have also worked as a museum educator since 2011, helping to make science engaging and accessible to learners of all ages.
My tutoring covers Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Physics, with most of my experience focused on high school students. However, I’ve also worked with elementary learners, college students, and adults returning to school. I tailor my instruction to the individual needs of each student and place a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding. I aim to help students grasp not just how to solve problems, but why the methods work. My goal is always to build confidence alongside competence, and I work to create a supportive, thoughtful environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing in their understanding.
