Bonjour! I'm a recent graduate and certified French teacher. I spent a year of my undergrad experience tutoring my fellow college students and local high schoolers in French. I have Advanced Low (roughly B2/C1) proficiency in French, per the ACTFL proficiency scale. I studied abroad in France for 3 months under six very talented native French professors, giving me a good understanding of the French language and French culture as well.
I have taught, tutored, and worked with students of all ages, ranging from Kindergarten through college-aged, in a variety of settings, including classroom, small group work, and one-on-one sessions. I spent five years of my high school and college experience working at a local library, assisting elementary, middle, and high school students with homework, projects, and extra practice for their classes, and I began tutoring French in college.
I have a very student-centered educational philosophy, and I love to make learning effective AND fun! I do my best to get to know my students, so I can tailor my lessons to their interests and meet them where they are at skills-wise.
