I am currently completing my degree in Finance and Accounting at Millikin University, where I have developed a strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and analytical problem-solving. My coursework has included intermediate and advanced accounting, auditing, and corporate finance, giving me a solid foundation to help students master both fundamental and complex concepts. I will be starting my career in assurance at a public accounting firm next fall, which further demonstrates my commitment to professional excellence and practical application of the material I teach.

I have experience helping peers and classmates understand accounting and finance topics in both one-on-one and small group settings. My approach centers on simplifying difficult ideas through real-world examples and step-by-step explanations that connect theory to practice. I encourage students to ask questions and think critically, making sure they not only memorize formulas but also understand the reasoning behind them. I also adapt my tutoring style to match each student’s learning preferences—whether they learn best through repetition, examples, or visual aids.

In addition to my academic background, I’ve worked in demanding environments that strengthened my patience, communication, and ability to stay organized under pressure. Those experiences have shaped my teaching style into one that’s encouraging, structured, and goal-oriented. My goal as a tutor is to help students gain confidence in their abilities and develop skills they can carry beyond the classroom.
