Hi I’m Eric! I’m currently a freshman studying Systems Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. I’m inspired to tutor because I believe that my success in my first year is largely because of the great professors here, and I feel compelled to pay that forward. As a student, I firmly believe in prioritizing conceptual understanding over computational ability, and I am confident that after one session, you too will see the importance of this philosophy. Additionally, I am a big advocate for students asking questions. Often times, students are scared to ask questions, and teachers can sometimes come off as arrogant when answering some seemingly simple questions. As your tutor, I am happy to answer ANY question you may have, as I understand that asking questions is one of the best ways to clarify any holes in knowledge, and also better understand material.
I have about 1 year of tutoring experience, as I was one of 10 students selected to help tutor students who were struggling in Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and Pre calculus. During my time as a tutor, I was able to drastically improve my students grades as much as from a D to an A, and I know that I will be able to bring this same success to you.
