Approved Subjects

Arabic

Arabic

I am an Arabic major at California University of Pennsylvania, potentially I want to be an Arabic teacher when I graduate. I also speak Levantine Arabic (Syrian Damascene and Lebanese dialects) and have earned certificates in both accents. Most Arabic native speakers would confused me for a native Arabic speaker because of my near perfect native Arabic accent. I also have experience in teaching both Arabic and English as a foreign language.
ESL/ESOL

ESL/ESOL

I am an ESL instructor based in Illinois. I have ESL teaching experience with both Adults and children English language learners.
French

French

Bonjour. I teach standard academic French (France) / Parisian accent. Be confident that you are learning French from a French teacher! I am an American with French (north and west European) heritage in my father's side and Filipino with Hispanic roots in my mother's side. I am French Educated, all my private teachers are from Paris and I also studied standard French at the university. For my teaching materials, I use the Saison méthode de français and L'atelier collection of books (which are used by the Alliance Française French schools). I use Google slides, Powerpoint, PDF, other books, videos, Pimsleur, and more sources. I offer audio lessons that are very effective. I also encourage my students to use Quizlet flashcards. Book a session with me, you won't regret it. Merci.
Korean

Korean

I am a graduate of both Yonsei University and Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea, where I completed advanced-level Korean language college courses. I lived in South Korea for two years, immersed myself in the culture, and married a Korean. We have a daughter together who is Korean, and I am her biological mother, so Korean is a natural and essential part of my daily life. I’ve been teaching Korean at a language school for over a year and am currently pursuing certification to teach Korean as a second language. I completed advanced college-level Korean coursework at both Yonsei University and Sungkyunkwan University.
Spanish

Spanish

Soy profesora de Español como lengua extranjera y clases de lengua castellana (todos los niveles). Esta es tu escuela de español. I am a Filipino-American who also has French, Hispanic, Mesoamerican and Andean heritage. In fact, my middle name is “Espina,” which means “thorn” in Spanish. I am Spanish educated, and Spanish is also a part of my 2 Filipino languages, meaning that I am native to those 6000-8000 Spanish words that are integrated into my native languages. I am no stranger to Spanish. I was born and raised in the Philippines where Spanish was one of the three official languages. In fact, the Philippines used to be a part of Spain! and my country was named "The Philippines" in honor of King Philip II of Spain. The Philippines was under Spanish Rule for more than 300 years! since 1571-1898. I grew up speaking English and 2 Filipino languages, Tagalog and Cebuano Visayan. There are approximately 4,000 Spanish words in Tagalog and around 6,000 Spanish words in Visayan language and about 8000 as you go down south of the country. There is even a Spanish Creole called Chavacano which is a Filipino language that is about 80% spoken Spanish. Most Cebuano’s almost always count in Spanish, we count prices in Spanish, and we also say days of the week and even months of the year in Spanish. I also studied 2 years of Spanish when I was in high school in my home state, California. I had a high amount of Spanish exposure since I have friends who are native Spanish speakers in California. I've also worked in an environment where there were a lot of native Spanish speakers. Spanish is already one of California’s two official languages. All California legislation must be published in both Spanish and English. This has been true ever since the first California constitution. Now I live in Illinois, and I have decided to pursue getting a degree in Spanish. Spanish is very useful in the USA and in the world. Spanish can open more doors of opportunity for me in terms of career. I want to introduce this beautiful language to ot
Tagalog

Tagalog

I am a certified Tagalog Filipino language teacher. I am a native Filipina, born in Cebu, Philippines, and a native speaker of both Tagalog and Cebuano. As a Filipino, I was already fluent in Tagalog before entering school. I completed my elementary education in the Philippines, where I studied Tagalog for six years as part of the national curriculum. I also spent one year of high school at St. Joseph High School in Cebu, where I continued studying Tagalog, followed by one year of college at St. Theresa’s College in Cebu City, where I completed college-level Tagalog language coursework. After moving to California, I graduated from both middle school and high school and later earned my college degree in the United States. I then moved to South Korea, where I taught both Tagalog and English to Korean students and completed Korean language programs at Yonsei University and Sungkyunkwan University. I have been tutoring Tagalog in California for the past three years and hold a certificate in teaching Tagalog as a second language. I teach both Tagalog and Cebuano and am passionate about helping students learn Filipino languages through clear, culturally grounded instruction. As a native speaker with lifelong education in Tagalog, from early childhood through university, I bring both fluency and formal training to my teaching.

Highly recommend!

Genecah is a fantastic, dedicated, and passionate teacher. She is highly encouraging and supportive. The most interesting part, that you can talk not only about English rules but also about life experiences, job, and achievements. I highly recommend Genecah and she is an excellent teacher.

Geneca is a fantastic teacher/tutor!

Geneca genuinely wants you to succeed. She's encouraging, optimistic and her passion for the language is apparent. She provided numerous resources for additional practice, flash cards for the completed lesson and ensured understanding and correct pronunciation. An absolute breath of fresh air. I booked more lessons!
