I love to help students who struggle. Our society is a very fast-paced one and often times, students fall behind, feel frustrated and then struggle to catch back up. This often results in some just giving up. It pains me to see students struggle when I know a little bit of additional help can often help them achieve their goals. I substitute teach and hold a current substitute teachers certificate along with a paraprofessional certificate. I have spent the past few years helping a few high school students with their studies. Two of them would not have graduated without individualized help. I also worked as an online teaching assistant for a community college professor. I was responsible for proofreading student papers and offering corrections and advice on how to improve them. Overall, I just enjoy helping students reach their potential!
I spent three semesters assisting a community college professor with his class online. I proofread, corrected and offered suggestions on ways to improve the overall meaning of each students work. I did this while considering each individual students' strengths and weaknesses. I also assisted high school students with several classes which included History, English, Agriculture and Creative Writing.
I would love to help you. I believe that most issues can be helped simply by having time and patience. Everyone learns and a different pace and in different ways. Flexibility is key to bringing out the best in each student.
