Hello! I’m Felicia. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, and enjoy sharing my love of Spanish with others! While in college, I spent a year living and studying in Ecuador, and had the opportunity to travel all over South America. I attended university classes which were all in Spanish, and lived with a family who did not speak English. Hello! I’m Felicia. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, and enjoy sharing my love of Spanish with others! While in college, I spent a year living and studying in Ecuador, and had the opportunity to travel all over South America. I attended university classes which were all in Spanish, and lived with a family who did not speak English. Between living, studying and traveling abroad, I had the opportunity to learn Spanish at a deeper level. I bring my love for Latin American cultures as well as a thorough understanding of the language to my work as a tutor. I have a firm understanding of grammar and syntax, and am able to adapt my lessons on-the-spot to meet the unique needs and learning style of each student.

I am patient and perceptive, and take an individualized approach to teaching. I go above and beyond for all my students! This includes creating practice materials just for you, if needed. My ability to personalize lessons is one of the many things that make me an excellent Spanish tutor, and set me apart from others. I have hundreds of informational materials and practice exercises on-hand which I am happy to share.

After college I taught English as a Second Language in a community center. It was there that I discovered my ability to adapt lessons, create new and innovative materials, and find creative ways to teach people with different backgrounds and learning needs. As a Spanish tutor now, I focus on Middle School, High School Spanish, College Spanish, and Spanish for adults. However, I have worked with young children as well. I create lesson plans for each person using a wide variety of materials, including a curriculum for adults that I have personally developed.

Student success is a top priority for me, and I would love to talk about how to meet your (or your child’s) needs. I am easy to reach, quick to respond and flexible with scheduling. I am also happy to consult with teachers and provide feedback to parents.

In addition to my B.A. in Spanish, I spent a year in Ecuador where I lived with a family and took university classes entirely in Spanish. I love the language and enjoy working with people one-on-one. I am patient and kind, and excel at personalizing lessons to meet each student's needs and learning style. I have tutored students of all ages, including adults, for the past three years; and prior to that, taught ESL classes to Spanish-speakers for three years. I go above and beyond to help my students, have lots of resources to share, and will provide follow-up support after each lesson as needed!

Amazing Spanish Tutor! (Experience with Dyslexia)
