Biology & Chemistry Tutor | Making Complex Science Simple

Rachell G.

I am a biology major currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree, with a minor in chemistry in progress. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in subjects such as microbiology, physiology, genetics, and organic chemistry. Through my studies, I have developed a clear understanding of both foundational and advanced science concepts, allowing me to effectively support students at different learning levels.

My tutoring experience comes from helping peers and classmates in both one-on-one and small group settings. I have worked with college-level students as well as younger learners, breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps. I focus on true understanding rather than memorization, using examples, diagrams, and practice questions to help reinforce material. I also adapt my teaching style based on each student’s needs, whether they learn best visually, through discussion, or with hands-on practice.

I am passionate about helping students build confidence in subjects that may initially feel overwhelming, especially biology and chemistry. My goal is not only to help improve grades but also to make learning less stressful and more approachable. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing study strategies that will help them succeed long-term.
