Hi! My name is Kohl, and I am a rising sophomore at Johns Hopkins University majoring in chemistry. Before my time at Johns Hopkins University, I graduated from the Illinois Math and Science Academy in June 2024, where I maintained a 4.0 GPA across high-level mathematics and chemistry courses, including AP BC Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. In addition, during my time at Johns Hopkins University, I have taken Introductory and Intermediate Organic Chemistry Lab courses, Honors Organic Chemistry courses, and Linear Algebra.
In addition to my educational experiences, I have pursued numerous tutoring opportunities during my time at the Illinois Math and Science Academy and Johns Hopkins. From the Spring Semester of 2023 through my graduation in June of 2024 I was a Peer Tutor, where I held office hours for 5-7 hours weekly aiding 10-20 of my peers in courses spanning Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Computer Science (Python and Java), General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. Similarly, during my time at Johns Hopkins, I have served as a member of the Drop-In Hours Team in the General Chemistry Review, a student-led organization partnered with the Office of Academic Support that focuses on providing aid to General Chemistry students through supplementary lecture sessions, problem sets, reaction sheets, and practice exams, reaching over 700 students every semester. As a member of the Drop-In Hours Team, I have held office hours for two hours weekly to assist 4-6 students with topics spanning General Chemistry, collaborating with professors and graduate student teaching assistants to supplement their curricula.
I look forward to helping you with all things mathematics and chemistry!
