Hello! My name is Gabriel. I graduated from a top public university summa cum laude with Bachelor's degrees in Microbiology and Philosophy, and with co-majors in Pre-Medical Studies and Neuroscience. Collaboration is also important in medical school and this culture is one of the reasons I am interested in helping others achieve their goals with confidence in their own skills. I have experience tutoring other pre-meds in core science classes as well as tutoring at a high school level as a volunteer in my community. In my sessions, we will engage actively in a dialogue about the material rather than a lecture, as it is important to interact with new knowledge actively in as many ways as possible. As someone who studied Microbiology and Pre-med as an undergraduate, I was constantly exposed to new and difficult material in the life sciences. I was quickly forced to become familiar with lab techniques, both for classes and my own personal research, and learn how to read and interpret complex scientific journals. I graduated with a science GPA of 3.97. Additionally, I have about a year and a half of experience tutoring college peers and high school students in Chemistry and Biology, as well as consulting on scientific writing.
