AFOQT

AFOQT

I took and successfully passed the AFOQT while a cadet during college in the AFROTC program. This test was necessary for not just competing for a three year, Type II scholarship (which I was awarded), but required to take and pass in order to receive my commission in the USAF. Additionally, my scores were a vital factor in my ability to qualify for and be considered for my specific career field while on active duty in the Air Force (ABM - 13B).
ASVAB

ASVAB

I have taken both the ASVAB and AFOQT, passing both exams as I explored options to serve in the USAF. Upon deciding to peruse a commission, I enrolled in AFROTC and was awarded a three-year Type II scholarship as a cadet. The AFOQT was a key factor in my ability to obtain this scholarship as well as determining my selection in a non-rated but operation career field (ABM, 13B). While now a civilian in a very different professional path from my military career, I currently tutor both exams to those interested in pursuing a military career, be it through a commissioning source (OTS or ROTC) or enlistment.
Business

Business

I graduated with distinction with both a MBA and Master of Organizational Leadership. I currently serve as a senior executive at a national nonprofit organization and have over 15 years experience serving in mission critical operational, fundraising, administrative, marketing and programmatic roles. Prior to working in the nonprofit sector I served honorably as a commissioned officer in the USAF.

AFOQT

If you need help preparing for the AFOQT, Jennifer is your tutor. I spent about 3 months with Jen preparing for my 2nd attempt at the AFOQT. I am a student aspiring a pilot slot, so we spent much of our time on the sections that go into the Pilot composite and CSO composite, along with everything else. She is extremely patient, and has all the tools you need in order to be successful, if you are unsatisfied with scores after her lessons, it’s because you did not put in any work on your own time. Below are my scores on the test before, and then after being tutored by Jen. This is what three months with her can do. And because of her, I can continue to chase my dream. Before. Pilot:51, CSO:28, ABM:36, Academic:12, Verbal:28, Quantitative:8 After. Pilot:96, CSO:62, ABM:92, Academic:60, Verbal:55, Quantitative:66

great pacing of instruction.

Instructor is great at pacing instructions. Nothing is too slow or fast, however, she also breaks down how to solve problems quickly. These are nice tips that I can utilize for my test and I greatly appreciate them. Couldn’t have had a better instructor for math.

You found your AFOQT tutor...

Hey you, yes you. The one reading this review. Has it been years since you've touched any math stuff? Probably over 10+ years, maybe? Jenn is your AFOQT Dojo Sensei. She will educate you on what you need to consider and teach you a few other shortcuts to solve some of these problems effectively. I've had the honor and privilege of learning from her for about 23 lessons, and don't regret a single one. She's sweet and understanding, but she will not sugarcoat the issue if she believes you need more work in some areas. My suggestions to you as a student of hers: ~Review the topics she goes over with you on your own for better retention. ~Let her know when your test is coming up, but be realistic about how much prep time you'll need. If you're rustier than the high school beater you drove around you'll probably need a few extra lessons. ~Use the resources she gives you. ~Create practice problems on chatGPT. ~Don't be afraid to ask for clarification. The fact that you came here to look for a tutor is more drive than some people could have. Finding and Choosing Jenn as that tutor is an even better decision. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better tutor. Thank you, Jenn.

AFQOT

Jennifer helped me study for my third and final attempt on the AFQOT verbal section. She was very kind and patient with me every session I had with her. She provided me with tons of tips and resources to be successful when it came to my test day and thanks to her i improved my score from a 2 to a 31 allowing me to go on to the next of becoming an officer in the United States Air Force. I highly recommend having Jennifer as a tutor since not only does she help with the verbal section but she has many resources for the other sub categories which will truly help you in the long run.

A tutor genuinely dedicated to helping you learn and improve.

I'm so glad I came across Jennifer and that she tutored me. I had taken the AFOQT in April 2023, but failed to pass the Quantitative section, as math has *never* been a strong suit for me. I knew I needed serious help from someone who was knowledgeable, dedicated, and most important of all (for me, at least), patient. I found all this and more in Jen. We started with the basics, and I mean BASICS, of dividing decimals and we worked our way up to the material in the Arithmetic Reasoning and Math Knowledge sections of the AFOQT. This was over the course of a year; she took her time explaining, breaking concepts down, and helping me understand the why to things, which was super important for me. I always felt comfortable asking for more explanations or asking for sessions specifically dedicated to areas I knew I was weak on. Haha, whenever she knew I'd understood something but would doubt myself, she'd rib the way a friend would, which made the relationship even more comfortable; but apart from the levity we'd sometimes enjoy along our sessions, it actually inspired confidence in me to (as she would say) "trust the math" and what I was doing. My confidence in my abilities grew, slowly but surely, to the point where I took the AFOQT recently (August 2024) and passed with much improved scores in the Quantitative section than than the April 2023 attempt. I no longer feel intimidated by the material and am much more confident in approaching it, as many of the concepts have made their way into my mind and my math reflexes are much better, night and day compared to before. I owe my success in passing the AFOQT to Jen. I simply could not have done it without her. If you need help with your AFOQT prep (or any prep!), look no further: Jen is the tutor you've been looking for. She's smart, kind, open, patient, and genuinely dedicated to teaching you, making sure you understand the material, the how/why of it all. Once you meet her, you'll be immediately put at ease by her friendliness and challenged by someone who really wants the best outcome for you and your career; someone who has the humility to meet you where you are, understand why you're there, and take every step to help you improve (over the course of a year, I think I might've used every resource she had!). You'll find no better tutor, and dare I say it, you might even make a great friend. Don't hesitate to reach out to her.
