Hola, my name is Angela! I am one semester away from completing my Bachelors in Music Composition.

Since 2016 I have been building a passion for teaching adults, young adults, children and toddlers in the areas of guitar lessons, keyboard and piano lessons, vocal lessons, and songwriting lessons. I love teaching every genre of music including classical, rock, gospel, blues, jazz and folk.

Starting at a young age, I have always been very passionate about music. From my summer trips to Mexico, I was largely influenced by my talented grandfather and my Hispanic culture; one of the many factors that developed my unique artistry. I started playing piano at four years old and the guitar at ten years old. It wasn’t until I joined Chicago Children’s Choir that I became influenced to pursue singing. I have sung in all genres of music, you name it! As I combined all of my musical talents and experiences, I developed into a new passion: songwriting and instrumental composition. As a soulful performer, singer-songwriter, pianist, guitarist, and vocalist, my original songs are highlighted by a unique mix of Afro-Latin rhythms, Folk-Punk energy, soulful vocals and empowering lyrics.

I love to teach music because I love to see students grow into their true potential. I am very BIG on encouraging my students to rise higher above any challenging circumstance! I am here to help people reach their goals in a practical and creative way!
