Received my teaching English as a foreign language certificate back in July. I have been tutoring mostly adult students in ESL since January 2020. I have a bachelor's degree, cum laude, in anthropology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am well-versed in cultural anthropology and in archaeology. Have participated in an archaeological excavation in Israel over three summer seasons.
I have experience working with a diverse group of students and have extensive writing experience from my undergraduate education. I have my certificate in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) from the International TEFL Academy. Since January 2020, I have been tutoring a small group of adults in basic English through Oakton Community College's VITA (Volunteers in Teaching Adults) ESL program. Also, I am an ESL tutor for a student at the Pui Tak Center in Chinatown.
I welcome new students! I'm looking forward to working with you and figuring out the educational and tutoring needs that are specific to your circumstances and your goals.
