Hello! I'm Jackson, and I graduated with my Bachelor's in Anthropology with a focus on Maya Archaeology, and a minor in Latin American and Latino Studies. Although I'm new to tutoring, I have several years' experience working in informal college teaching environments. I've given talks about various subjects within Anthropology, Archaeology, and Latin American Studies to audiences of undergraduates, and presented formal research papers to an audience of graduate students and professors. I plan on seeking my PhD in Archaeology within the following year, and I have a passion for these topics.

Anthropology and Archaeology, as a whole, are highly misunderstood. I aim to help prospective students in these fields better comprehend the sometimes difficult and thought-provoking concepts, as well as find the possible career of your dreams!

During my undergraduate career, I received two distinct research grants for projects working in the Maya region of Chiapas, Mexico, and one departmental award for overall accomplishment within the Department of Anthropology. I have conducted lab research in the Field Museum's Elemental Analysis Facility, and presented several research projects at multiple academic conferences.

With over four years of formal research experience, I've had to write my fair share of research papers -- ranging from two pages to nearly forty. I'm constantly growing and adapting my writing abilities, but I've put countless hours into learning how to effectively convey ideas and meaning into my writing.
