Currently accepting a limited number of students applying to medical school in the 2026–2027 cycle who are looking for expert guidance with secondary applications.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by the volume of secondaries or want to maximize your chances of receiving interview invitations, I offer personalized physician advising focused on secondary application strategy, essay development, school-specific positioning, and interview preparation. I work with both MD and DO applicants through AMCAS, AACOMAS, and TMDSAS, including traditional and non-traditional applicants.

I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology: Cognitive Neuroscience. I earned my MD from the University of Massachusetts and am currently an Internal Medicine resident physician.

Over the past 5+ years, I have helped more than 300 students gain admission to medical school by strengthening their applications through thoughtful, individualized editing and advising. My primary focus during this stage of the cycle is helping applicants craft compelling secondary essays that authentically answer each school's unique prompts while highlighting the experiences that matter most. I also provide guidance on school selection, application strategy, interview preparation, and, for students earlier in the process, MCAT resources and tutoring.

My editing process supports students at every stage, from brainstorming and outlining to refining structure, storytelling, grammar, and word choice. Whether you're struggling with writer's block or polishing your final drafts, my goal is to help you submit essays that are clear, authentic, and tailored to each medical school's mission.

Students can send essays for independent review (typically returned within 24–72 hours) or schedule one-on-one video sessions for live brainstorming, strategy, and editing. I pride myself on being responsive, approachable, and invested in each student's success throughout the application cycle.

Very good experience!

Nathan proofread my son's WashU application essays after understanding his background and academic interest. His suggestions are very detail and thoughtful while keeping essays authentic. My son was very happy to take his advice. We really appreciate his instant response and great work!

Excellent writer!!!

I thought I was a good writer, but the difference between my work and his work is massive. He is an incredible writer in not just grammar but also story and flow. On another note, Nathan has been writing for so long that he knows the general key points each admissions essay must have, which is something I did not know. He added something to my essay that I didn't even think to add, but I think now was a very important addition in retrospect. If you want a seriously good essay, Nathan is your guy.
