Hello! I'm a musician, multi-instrumentalist, composer and educator, in Chicago for about 5 years now and loving it. I'm an enthusiast of a wide range of styles and techniques, and think that the main gift of music is that it's a social art! It gets people into a room, let's time pass, and gets them thinking and feeling together. Most recently, I was the composer is residence for a Youth Symphony orchestra, where I had the opportunity to further my own orchestral chops, while teaching the groups about new ways of making music and what a composer's practice is like. I'm glad to have music in my life and love to share it!
-BM in Composition from the Boston Conservatory
-Composer of 4 operas with studio recordings, a body of orchestral and chamber work
-Also a bandleader, drummer, clarinetist, guitarist and singer of improvised music, ragtime, jazz, and rock music.
-Teacher of general music and above instruments for 5 years with youth orchestras, public schools, and youth symphonies.
-I'm a constant student myself of music history and theory too!
